Missing crypto transaction: find the right reference
Missing hash, wrong network or internal transfer? Identify the type and status of a crypto transaction before assuming that funds are lost.
Identify what exactly is missing
A missing operation from your application is not necessarily missing from the blockchain. Mark the date, the sending service, the destination service and the reference displayed. Distinguish a purchase order, an internal identifier and a transaction hash. They don’t all search in an explorer and don’t prove the same step.
Search on the network actually used
A network explorer does not find the operations of another. Check the selected network when sending in the official history. Compare the full hash without adding space. Some transfers between accounts from the same provider are internal and do not have a separate public transaction. In this case, service reference and support are useful starting points.
Read the status without anticipating the reception
A transaction may be pending, failed or confirmed. A public confirmation does not guarantee that the recipient account has credited a supported asset. The platform may apply conditions or require additional reference. Keep the error messages accurate and ask the provider to specify the blocked step instead of multiplying test transfers.
Example of rapprochement
You have a receipt for sending, but no results in the search explorer. The receipt specifies a different network: first look for that network. If the service indicates only an internal ID, ask if it is a move between accounts. These checks can explain the absence of results without demonstrating a definitive loss. They also avoid reimbursement promises based on a misdiagnosis.

Frequently asked questions
Does the absence of hash mean my cryptos are lost?
Not necessarily. An internal transfer or a transaction that was not broadcast may have no public hash. Check its status and type with the service.
