An airdrop refers to a token distribution according to the terms of a project. To search for a forgotten airdrop, start from an event you recognize: registration, use of a protocol, campaign or address used at the time. A distribution of which you have no memory can also be an unsolicited shipment. Do not conclude with a hidden wealth because a token name appears in a wallet.
Searching for information without authorizing transaction
Keep the project name, period and public address of which you know the origin. Compare information with official announcements and network history. A public data consultation does not require giving your recovery phrase. A site that requires a login or signature to just show an old balance should be examined with caution.
Distinguish receipt, eligibility and value
Being mentioned as eligible is not the same as receiving tokens. Having received a token does not prove that it can be sold or that a price displayed corresponds to a possible transaction. Distribution may contain unnecessary assets or attract you to a misleading site. Preserve information and avoid any manipulation whose role is not understood.
