Multiple wallet accounts: find the missing account

An empty interface may show a different account or network. Map your known wallet addresses without sharing recovery phrases or assuming a balance.

Distinguish between application, account and network

A wallet application can have multiple accounts and multiple networks. Reinstalling the app or selecting a different network can change what is visible. The name given to an account, such as “primary”, is a local tag: it’s not enough to identify an address. Start by comparing known public references.

Find the documented addresses

Search for withdrawal confirmations to your own accounts, old exports and unsecret captures. Note the date and context of each address. Accounts created differently may require different steps; do not infer that a backup matches all addresses encountered. The instructions from the relevant software must guide technical identification.

Make a simple map of your use

Prepare a line by address: used application, documented network, period and last known move. Example: an account used for a gift on one network and another for a purchase on a second network may have separate histories. The fact that one screen displays zero is not enough to conclude for all accounts.

Do not test backup with a third party

A recovery phrase and a private key can allow you to move assets. Keep them out of exchanges and forms. A document verification uses public references and membership elements. If an access problem requires local manipulation, first understand the official procedure and its effect on your data before doing so.

Frequently asked questions

Does an empty account mean that all my old accounts are empty?

No. Check the addresses and networks actually used. Some accounts may also have been emptied; no balance should be assumed.
